Travelmomo is a showcase of how we develop a brand from scratch, build an online platform and give it a life.
The idea began with an online content platform to provide travel information for hot destinations for FREE. The most popular destinations for Hong Kong travellers are Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Other travel destinations are added to the website as Travelmomo.com continues to extend its footprint.
The logo is a bear head with a pink heart-shape nose which has become a distinctive feature.
Due to global warming, polar bear Travelmomo started to travel around the world to search for a new place to stay. You don’t normally see his eyes because he always “See from the heart”.
After registering the logo as a trademark in Hong Kong, Travelmomo was made into a 3D travel bear as a mascot of the brand. It was handmade by Kate Wu, the founder and owner of Travelmomo.
What’s unique about Travelmomo.com is that all travel contents are original, including photos and copy in English and Chinese.
Since end of 2017, Kate Wu has started to publish travel books. The first one was Kyushu Travel Guide for Families. In December 2018, Shikoku Travel Guide was published. There are 1,500+ and 1,300+ photos on the books respectively. All contents are original. Stay tuned on the updates.
