Brand Story – Travelmomo
Travelmomo is a brand created for an online travel platform in October 2016.
“Travel” is self-explanatory. MOMO stands for Moment and Momentum.
Traditionally, you would want to go through a search to make sure that the brand/company names are not registered by other companies through local business registry search. Today, the first search you would do is to go online to check the availability of domain names. Dot Com is the priority. If yourname.com is available, you are pretty much safe in registering it because simply there would not be any serious company using the same name. I got lucky. Travelmomo.com is available. When the dot com is available, it is almost certain that the name is not taken by corporations.
There are several elements to a logo. A symbol, the logotype or font type of the company name, and color. While many businesses would choose to use logotype only i.e. a special font of the company/brand name, a symbol is preferred for the ease of memory particularly when your company name is long and available in different languages. The Travelmomo logo is a travel bear. No eyes. Only a heart shape nose because Travelmomo sees the world from the heart.
Travelmomo’s logo is a registered trademark in Hong Kong. It is important for the owner to create its unique identity in the industry because that’s what the customers and stakeholders will recognize and associate.
